A 21-year-old man was left with numerous injuries after he had broken glass smashed into his face during a night out.
The attack happened inside the Dusk 2 Dawn bar and nightclub in Maidstone's King Street, between 10.30pm and 11.15pm on Saturday.
It left the victim with a broken nose, an inch-deep wound in his back and numerous cuts to his back and stomach.
After smashing the glass into the victim's face the attacker is reported to have punched the victim several times with broken glass still in his hand.
A 21-year-old man from Maidstone was since arrested on suspicion of assault and bailed, pending further inquiries, until October 2.
Det Con Ben Clatworthy said: "The victim has been repeatedly punched and left with a number of cuts, including a wound to his back which was an inch deep.
"The club would have been fairly busy at this time and so it likely that there will be number of witnesses who can help with our enquiries.
"'If you saw anything please get in touch."
