Police are appealing for witnesses after a pensioner was flown to a London hospital following a serious crash.

The 82-year-old woman was taken to King's College Hospital by air ambulance with severe injuries.

She was a passenger in a silver Ford KA which collided with a grey Audi A4 on the A20 in Lenham yesterday.

The crash happened at 3.30pm on Ashford Road, at the crossroad junction with Faversham Road.

Anyone who witnessed the crash and has not already spoken to the police is asked to call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01622 798538.
