Police have been warning road users after objects — possibly bricks — were hurled from cars.

In one instance a man in his 40s suffered head injuries when he was hit by an object.

On another occasion a cyclist was struck by what is believed to have been a brick.

Descriptions of the vehicles are similar and police are linking the two attacks and appealing for witnesses to come forward.

The first attack was in Headcorn at 6.45pm on Monday, November 3, when a 51-year-old man was struck by what is believed to have been a brick thrown from a car while he cycled home along the A274 towards Biddenden. He was not seriously injured.

In a similar attack a man in his 40s was left with head injuries when he was hit by an object thrown from a small blue car at around 2.45pm on Thursday, November 6, in Conway Road, Maidstone.

An ambulance was called to the scene but the victim did not require hospital treatment.

Neither of the victims was seriously injured, but officers would like to speak to anyone who saw anything suspicious, or who has been the victim of a similar offence but not reported it.
