Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman in her 90s was hit by car in a church car park.

A Hyundai i10 car crashed into the woman in the Maidstone Baptist Church car park, in Knightrider Street, Maidstone, at around 10.30am.

She was taken to hospital after sustaining a head injury and is in a stable condition.

Officers from the serious collision investigation unit are appealing for any witnesses.
