A NATIONWIDE appeal for help tracing the whereabouts of a 50-year-old man has been made by police.
Former Kent resident John Martin, known as Noddy to friends, disappeared from his home in Hythe in the New Forest on February 15.
He was last seen by his wife at their home around midday. They had had a minor disagreement a short time before he disappeared and he is thought to have been feeling under pressure recently.
He is described as 5ft 8in with short dark hair and a round face. He is slightly overweight.
He was wearing blue jeans, desert boots which are beige or tan in colour and a dark hooded ‘Animal’ top.
Mr Martin grew up Kent and visited the Maidstone, Sandwich and Deal areas a number of times since his childhood. His family believe there may be a possibility he is in this area.
Police have carried out a large number of enquiries including local searches where he was known to walk his dog. Family members and friends have also been spoken with to gather as much information as possible.
Anyone with any information relating to John Martin’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Duty Sergeant at Hythe police station on 0845 045 45 45, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
