Maidstone: Missing woman Sarah Miller found safe after police search

A woman who sparked a massive search after vanishing from a secure mental health facility has been found safe.

Emergency services launched a large-scale hunt for Sarah Miller, 45, from Maidstone, after concerns were raised for her welfare following her disappearance this morning.

Police confirmed she was found safe and well by patrols this evening.

Nine patrol cars, a van and a command unit were seen at Hermitage Court, off Hermitage Lane, Barming this afternoon.

Ms Miller was last seen at Priority House next to Maidstone Hospital just before 11am.

Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust (KMPT), who run the unit, worked with the police to track down Ms Miller.

A spokesman said the trust was trying to establish the exact circumstances surrounding her disappearance.
