Police responded in large numbers following an incident at an address in Westree Court, Rowland Close, Maidstone, this morning.

At one point up to 10 cars were in attendance, although there is now only one vehicle still at the scene.

A police spokesman said: "We were called to a private address in the Westree Road area of Maidstone around 10.25 am.

"A 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault. Inquiries are on-going."
