Police have taken a woman to a place of safety after she tried "to board a train with a petrol can".
Officers were called to Maidstone station shortly after 6am after concerns were raised over the welfare of the woman.
A spokesman for the British Transport Police said: "Officers were called at 6.05am today.
"They quickly attended alongside paramedics and she has been taken to a place of safety without injury."
Witnesses said emergency services could be seen in a nearby car park.
They said: "The woman who tried to board the train this morning with a petrol can was stopped by train staff before she ran off.
"Three police cars and two fire engines were seen in the in Lockmeadow car park and a major hunt was on to find her."
Kent Fire and Rescue Service confirmed it was sent to assist police at around 6.14am.
