Vulnerable Terence Mackenzie found after leaving Maidstone Hospital in Hermitage Lane, Maidstone

A vulnerable missing man who absconded from Maidstone Hospital on Saturday has been found safe and well.

Terence Mackenzie left A&E at Maidstone Hospital in Hermitage Lane at 6pm on Saturday.

The 49-year-old, who was described as vulnerable, confused and disorientated, was found on Monday afternoon.

A spokesman for Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust (KMPT) said: "A patient was transferred to Priority House by Kent Police on Saturday following a motorbike incident. The patient was taken from Priority House to A&E at Maidstone Hospital for a physical check to ensure no injuries were sustained in the incident. While being treated, the patient absconded from the hospital and the police were immediately contacted."
