Part of a public park was cordoned off after a young man was found dead.

Police were called to Mote Park in Maidstone on Saturday (July 27) at around 5.20am to reports of a body being found.

Officers attended with paramedics where a man in his 20s was found dead.

A section of the country park, near Willington Street, was sealed off by police.

The force said the death is not being treated as suspicious and a report has been completed for the coroner.

Police have informed the man’s next of kin.
