The police helicopter was called in last night when five youths climbed onto a roof in Maidstone town centre.

The incident happened at around 9pm, when the group were spotted on top of the Hazlitt Theatre in Earl Street.

The helicopter was drafted in to make sure none of them was injured or trapped.

All five came down voluntarily and were taken home by their parents.
