A police cordon was put up outside a hospital.

Officers were seen outside the accident and emergency department at Maidstone Hospital on Hermitage Lane this morning.

A police spokesman has since confirmed it is linked to a fatal stabbing in Harrietsham.

A patient at the hospital said there was still a police car and forensics van at the scene this morning.

A man and a woman, who are known to the victim, have been arrested and taken into custody.

An investigation is being led by the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorates.
