Police are on the hunt for stolen garden furniture thought to have been taken from a DIY store in Maidstone in the early hours of Saturday.
Officers were called to Barker Road after reports of suspicious activity near the B&Q store.
A second report came in at around 2am the following night, and two men were seen running away from store.
Investigations found that more than £1,000 worth of garden furniture and barbecue equipment had been taken from the store over the course of the weekend.
Officers are now asking members of the public to be on their guard should they be offered any brand new, discounted garden furniture such as flat-pack table and chair sets, or gas canisters for barbecues.
PC Rob Dilger said: “It is likely that the suspects will look to sell these items quickly so if anyone is offered brand new, boxed furniture I would ask them to be cautious and consider that if the deal sounds too good to be true, then it probably is. I would also ask that people contact us if they have any information that will help us further our enquiries.”
Anyone with any information should call PC Dilger on 101, quoting crime report YY/10436/13.
