Police are keen to speak to this man in connection with an assault on a 15-year-old boy.

Detectives are investigating claims the teen was approached in an alleyway, off Week Street, Maidstone, by a man who complained the victim and his friend were making too much noise.

The boy said he apologised but was then struck by an object which is thought to have been fired from a catapult.

He suffered an injury to his forehead.

The incident happened on Tuesday, February 5, at about 8pm, but officers have only this week issued an appeal for information.

The man they wish to speak to is in his late 20s, is about 5ft 10 inches, and has distinctive teeth.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact DC Helen McKeon at Kent Police by calling 101, quoting crime reference YY/2440/13.
