A man in his 40s has been arrested after an allegation of serious sexual assault.

The victim is not believed to have known her attacker.

Forensic officers have been examining a house in the Fant area of Maidstone after the attack which happened around 11.20am this morning (July 14).

Officers have also cordoned off the scene.

The man was arrested shortly after alleged attack and is currently being questioned at Maidstone Police Station.
