An investigation has been launched after a van went up in flames.

Police officers are looking into claims of an arson attack in the early hours of Sunday, in Aylesford.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service were called to Nursery Road at about 1.30am after reports were made of a Mercedes van on fire.

Crews spent about 20 minutes tackling the blaze and made Kent Police aware of the suspicious incident.

People with information about the fire are asked to call 101, quoting crime reference YY/1720/13.
