The actions of police officers who shot a man dead in Stansted, near Sevenoaks, were justified.

That's the decision of the Independent Police Complaints Commission - following a ruling at Gravesend Coroners Court that he was lawfully killed.

Dayniel Charles Tucker, 39, from Sittingbourne pointed a replica firearm at officers after calling 999 in 2007.

The police thought it was an Uzi sub machine gun - and fired after warning him to put the weapon down.

Mr Tucker suffered from depression and Seasonal Affected Disorder.
