Police are investigating the "unexplained" death of a pensioner at a home in Maidstone.

Ambulance crews were called to an address in Upper Road at 8.20pm on Saturday and were joined by police around an hour later.

A woman in her 70s was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her death is being treated as unexplained and officers remain at the scene today.

Her family has been told.
