Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in connection with a robbery in Maidstone town centre.
A 24 year-old woman reported how she was approached by a man in Pudding Lane while she spoke on the phone at just after midnight on Sunday, September 8. She said she was pushed against a wall and had her iPhone 5 smartphone taken.
Officers have spoken to a number of witnesses who were in town that night and recovered CCTV from nearby. But officers also want to identify a man pictured who they also wish to speak to about the offence.
He is described as a medium-built, black man in his 30s, around 5ft 10ins tall and bald.
PC Amy Ezzi said: "The offence happened in the early hours of a Sunday morning and may have been the work of an opportunist, rather than a pre-planned attack. Incidents such as this are thankfully rare and the victim was not seriously hurt.
"But we are committed to tackling all instances of violence in Maidstone, to ensure those who enjoy themselves in the evenings and at weekends in our town centres are as safe as possible."
