Police are looking for three men after a woman's purse was taken and £750 was withdrawn from her account.
The 79-year-old victim was shopping in BHS in Calverley Road, Tunbridge Wells, on Tuesday, August 13, when a well-dressed foreign looking man asked them for help with some items.
While they were distracted with this, police believe accomplices took her purse from her handbag.
Later she discovered a total of £750 had been taken from her accounts. CCTV from two separate locations captured images of three men police would now like to speak to about the incident.
PC Lauren Woodall said: "At around 11.20am, three men could be seen on CCTV lingering in the Halifax bank whilst the woman withdraws cash with the cashier. The woman can clearly be seen on camera with her purse in her hand as she leaves the bank with her husband at 11.30am.
"The couple then go to BHS, when it appears the purse was taken. At 11.38am, the time that the woman’s bank says cash was withdrawn from her accounts, the same three men appear to be caught on camera again at a Barclays ATM."
Her bank has refunded the money but police believe this was part of an organised gang who may have done the same thing around the country.
