A driver who was arrested after a multi-vehicle crash which left a woman needing hospital treatment, was being chased by police.
Six cars were involved in the accident which happened in Willington Street, in Bearsted at around 2.30pm yesterday.
The driver of a Volvo V70 collided with a Mercedes near to the junction with the A20 Ashford Road.
Three other cars, a Peugeot 308, VW Tiguan and a Kia Sportage were also damaged.
The driver of the Volvo was being chased by a marked police vehicle at the time of the collision after failing to stop.
He is reported to have then left the scene on foot but was stopped nearby and arrested.
A woman who was driving the Kia suffered injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Three other people reported minor injuries, including the 37-year-old man from Headcorn who was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.
Investigators are urging anyone who witnessed the accident to come forward with information.
They would also like to hear from anyone with dashcam footage that may assist their investigation.
