Policeman Nigel Brown in court on death by dangerous driving charge

A policeman is due in court today charged with causing the death of a West Kent mother of three by dangerous driving.

Met Police officer Nigel Brown is alleged to have killed 29-year-old Felicity Austin on the A21 Pembury Road in Tonbridge last May.

Miss Austin, of The Paddock, died after being involved in a head-on collision with an unmarked police car which was on operational duties.

The 46-year-old PC, whose address cannot be given for legal reasons, will appear at Maidstone Crown Court this afternoon.
