A pub has thanked its loyal customers after winning an award for its service.
The Redstart Inn has been recognised by Restaurant Guru, a global food website with millions of monthly users.
Landlady Kasia Naemy, who has run the pub in North Street, Barming for more than 14 years, said the secret to her success had been “good food, good staff, and good service”.
Reacting to winning the ‘Good Service’ award, she told KentOnline: “I am very excited, we have the best staff.”
It’s the second time the pub has received critical acclaim from the online review service. In July it also scooped an award for the best takeaway food in Maidstone.
Restaurant Guru draws together restaurant customer reviews from Facebook, Google, Trip and other comparison sites to help people choose where to dine and businesses are given a ranking based off the feedback.
One reviewer of the Redstart Inn wrote: “Staff were brilliant, and nothing was too much trouble. Very few places would give you such a warm welcome.”
While another customer added: “Great pub with excellent customer service.”
During the pandemic, the Redstart Inn went the extra mile and operated a pick-up service, with customers travelling from as far afield as Sevenoaks to enjoy a meal in its car park.
Mrs Naemy added: “Through Covid we were doing deliveries to people, so we try to be part of the community as well as a business.
“We take care of the local community and I think they paid back and supported us after Covid as well.
“I would like to thank everyone who gave us a vote and left us good reviews.”
