A public consultation on two huge proposals for land on Detling Hill will take place next week.
Developer Quinn Estates has put forward two options for 155 acre Binbury Park, next to the Kent Showground.
The first includes 350 homes, 2million sq ft of commercial space and a primary school and local centre, while the second includes 1,450 homes — initially 1,750 were proposed — and 650,000 sq ft of commercial space.
Both options include a hotel, country park, park and ride and a new roundabout on the A249 Detling Hill.
The public have now been invited to attend an open evening from 5pm to 8pm next Thursday at Detling Village Hall to discuss the proposals.
The Bimbury Lane site is mainly arable farmland and wooded areas but also includes the former RAF Detling airfield which closed in 1958 and the Detling Aerodrome Industrial Estate.
