A puppy with a broken leg was dumped in a lake and left to drown.
The female lurcher pup, who is believed to be only nine weeks old, was dumped at Manor Park in West Malling on Tuesday.
A light-coloured van was seen driving to the lake before heading off and the puppy was then found in the water by someone out walking.
The dog was taken to a vet and treated for inhalation of water and a broken leg.
RSPCA chief inspector Steve Dockery said: “It looks as though this poor puppy was thrown in the water because she had a broken leg and her owners did not want her any more. It is absolutely outrageous.”
