There are delays on the M20 in both directions this morning.

One lane of the motorway was shut coast-bound between junction 7 at Detling and junction 8 for Leeds following an accident.

Police were called at 6.50am after a car overturned.

One man has been taken to Maidstone Hospital as a precaution, after a cut to the head.

The accident led to knock on delays on the A249 at Detling Hill, where traffic stretched back to the Shell garage.

It was clear by 10am.

There was also slow moving traffic reported in the coast-bound carriageway between junction 6 for Blue Bell Hill and J4 for Leybourne.
