A main route into Maidstone was blocked this morning following a rush-hour accident.

The crash, involving two cars, happened on the A229 at Blue Bell Hill at 8.25am, shutting a lane.

Traffic was queuing on the approach into the town.

A female driver suffered minor injuries but paramedics were not required.

One driver was reported for careless/inconsiderate driving.
