A racist thug who has 150 convictions for 285 offences has been jailed for carrying out a string of new crimes.
Dale Cooper, 58, not only kicked a police officer in the shin and slapped another around his face, he also punched two young women in the head as he walked along a road in Maidstone because he thought they were taking the mickey out of him.
Cooper, formerly of Marsham Street, Maidstone, appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, September 13 and admitted seven offences when he appeared via video link from prison.
Cooper was jailed for 12 months in April last year after he punched a nurse in the face during a terrifying tirade of racial abuse at Maidstone Hospital.
At the time he admitted two counts of racially aggravated assault, three counts of assault by beating an emergency worker and a further six counts relating to public order offences, of which four were racially aggravated.
In court last week, Cooper pleaded guilty to assault on an emergency worker in Pudding Lane on July 30. He kicked a police officer in the shin.
He also admitted a racially aggravated common assault where he kicked his leg up to the face of a man in Maidstone and shouted a racist term at him, which happened on the same day he assaulted the police officer.
He pleaded guilty to another assault on another police officer on July 1 and for racially abusing a shop worker after going to a Maidstone store while intoxicated. The court heard Cooper kicked the officer in the shin multiple times.
While in the dock, Cooper also pleaded guilty to abusing and threatening behaviour towards two women in Maidstone on August 15. He also told them he would follow them and kill them.
District Judge Stephen Leake also heard Cooper punched two young women after getting into an argument with them because he thought they were taking the mickey out of him in the county town.
He admitted two counts of assault by beating in relation to the incident which happened in Bank Street, on August 13.
The women, one of which was just 18, didn't suffer any injuries when they were attacked by Cooper, but had been left feeling anxious about going out on their own.
"I am angry about things. I lose my temper and everyone else gets away with it..."
Judge Leake also heard Cooper had committed some of the offences while still on supervision after being released from his last custodial sentence.
During the hearing Cooper said: "I am angry about things. I lose my temper and everyone else gets away with it."
Judge Leake jailed Cooper for 12 months for all the offences.
He said: "You have a long record of offending and had been given a 12 month sentence in April last year and had been recalled.
"You have a complicated relationship with the police and the authorities and police officers need the protection of the courts.
"Racially aggravated offending has no place in modern society and should never be used again and women should feel safe while they are out in public."
Cooper was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £187.
