Rare parrots stolen in burglary

A PAIR of rare parrots has been stolen from a Kent home after burglars broke into a birdhouse in the back garden.

The incident occurred at some point between December 28 at 6pm and 8am the following morning.

The pets’ owner found the door of the parrot house in the garden of their Paynes Lane home, Maidstone, had been violently forced open and the two Barnard parrots were missing.

Police are appealing for information to find the missing birds, worth £500 in total, which are described as having a pastel green breast with violet/blue and light blue wing margins, a blue head, a red nose band and are approximately 38cm to 40cm in height.
