The only way wasn't Maidstone when just dozens of fans turned out to meet a reality star during a stint at a cinema complex this afternoon.
Sam Faiers was scheduled to do a meet and greet between 1pm and 3pm as part of the grand re-opening of Maidstone's Lockmeadow entertainment complex.
The Barker Road venue has undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment over the last few months.
Visitors could spin the wheel of fortune for the chance to win a prize, and get their photos taken on a green-screen red carpet to appear on the cover of OK! magazine.
But the main attraction was supposed to be the former TOWIE star's appearance, with organisers urging fans to get in the queue early to make sure they could meet her.
This advice turned out to be misinformed however when the first meet and greet was over almost as soon as it began.
Although Miss Faiers started chatting to fans a little before 1pm, she was done by 1.15pm.
She also enjoyed a spot of bowling with her team as part of her marketing work before meeting other fans during her two-hour appearance.
The Kent Messenger, which had been asked to come and film Miss Faiers' appearance at the complex, was then told footage could not be taken.
A spokesman for Samantha Faiers said: "Samantha attended the relaunch of Lockmeadow Entertainment centre today where she met fans and worked with the centre’s marketing team on promotional imagery for the venue.
"Samantha spent just under two hours at the centre and met around 100 fans during this time."
