A festival celebrating the musical talent of the town’s youngsters has been held at All Saints Church, Mill Street.
More than 300 children, from primary schools across the borough showcased their talents on the recorder at the four-day festival.
They started playing at the beginning of the school year under the leadership of Helen McGregor, a retired music advisor to Kent County Council, and put on a series of “exceptional” performances.
It is the fourth time the event has been held and it has become an annual fixture on the church’s calendar.
Last year the festival raised £200 for Demelza House and organisers are hoping for a similar total this time around.
