He ran from the shop, crossing the High Street and through Angel Walk to the area of Angel Centre car park.

Now detectives have released a picture of a 1999-2004 model light blue Citroen Xsara Picasso, with a non-standard fit sunroof.

The vehicle, displaying false number plates, was spotted leaving the same car park towards Sovereign Way – the same direction from which it is believed to have entered the car park a few moments before the robbery, at just after 9am on Saturday, April 27.

Kent Police said the robber is described as white, about 5ft 8ins, of "reasonably large build", with what was described as a local accent. He wore a grey hooded top, jogging bottoms and black trainers.

Anyone with information about offender or car is asked to phone police on 101, quoting reference 0479.
