Police have renewed their appeal to trace a driver following a fatal crash in which a West Malling man died.

Stanley Draper, 54, died on Thursday, May 31, after the incident on the B2042, Cold Arbor Road in Sevenoaks at about 6.50pm.

It‘s thought that a blue BMW was involved in a head-on collision with a blue Mitsubishi pick-up truck.

The driver of the pick-up truck, Stanley Draper, died in the incident while the driver of the BMW, a 56-year-old man from Orpington, suffered serious injuries and was taken to a London hospital, although his condition has now stabilised.

Officers still want to trace the female driver of a Peugeot following the accident.

DS Scott Lynch of the serious collision investigation unit said: "Three weeks after this collision we are continuing to investigate the circumstances of this incident and are keen to hear from witnesses.

"We believe there was a convoy of six cars travelling north along the road prior to the collision and not all of the drivers in this convoy have yet been in contact with us. We would therefore appeal to them or anyone travelling home at the same time this evening to think back to last week and anything they may have seen. This was a serious collision in which one man died and another sustained life threatening injuries."

If you can help police call 01622 798538.

They want to hear from a woman aged between 25 and 35 years who was believed to be driving a Peugeot 206 or similar vehicle - possibly green - who stopped for a short while at the scene of the collision.
