Maidstone's River Festival gets under way today.

The event is marking its 30th year and is being held over two
days, with a 1980s theme.

A steady stream of vessels have been building up along the
riverside all week and today (Friday), the place
is packed with boats and bunting.

It may have been a wet start this morning, but the outlook is
brighter.
