There were delays on a main road in Maidstone following a two-car crash.

The collision was on the A229 Royal Engineers' Road, after the Springfield Roundabout in the Maidstone-bound carriageway, blocking one lane.

It happened shortly before 12pm.

Police officers and Kent County Council workers were sent to the scene.

No injuries were reported but one of the cars was still awaiting recovery at 2.30pm.
