A road was closed after police were called to a report of concern for the welfare of a woman.

Emergency services were called to Faversham Road in Lenham, near Maidstone, just before 8.45am.

Lenham Square was shut and police, paramedics and firefighters attended.

There was congestion up to Old Ashford Road and in both directions on Faversham Road.

A police spokesman said: “No offences have been committed and there are no suspicious circumstances.”
