Part of a busy route into Maidstone will be shut for emergency repairs on a manhole cover.

Kent County Council Highways will be carrying out the work from around 9.30am this morning.

One lane on the Southbound carriageway of Royal Engineers Road will be closed just after the exit from Running Horse roundabout.

There is currently no time set for its completion.
