Emergency services raced to the scene of a crash this afternoon after a car collided with a caravan on a key route out of Maidstone.

Police attended the incident on the A20 Ashford Road at Hollingbourne at 1.30pm.

No serious injuries were reported but one woman was taken to hospital as a precaution.

A lane closure was in place while the caravan was removed and an oil spillage was cleared, but the road is now reopen.
