Police, medics and firefighters were called to a house fire in Maidstone this evening.
The emergency services were sent to Marsham Street at 5.22pm after a fire broke out in the attic space of a terraced house.
It is understood people were in the property at the time.
The road was shut off while the fire was put out.
A KFRS spokesman said three fire engines were sent, adding: "Crews entered the property wearing breathing apparatus and using hose reel jets to fight the fire."
A police spokesman said officers were called at 5.29pm to help Kent Fire and Rescue Service.
He added: "The cause of the fire is not yet known."
