Drivers are facing travel chaos this morning after a lorry hit a safety barrier.
The incident in the early hours of the morning is already causing lengthy delays.
The closed sections are the M26 eastbound between the M25/A21 and junction 2A, the M25 clockwise within junction 5, the link road from the M25 junction 5 anti-clockwise to the A21 southbound and the link road from the M25 junction 5 anti-clockwise to M26/A21.
The M25 junction 5 clockwise and M26 coastbound access from the M25 is due to be fully open by 2pm.
It follows the accident at 1.37am in which an HGV collided with a safety barrier on an overbridge passing the M26.
Queues on the M26 stretch for four miles coastbound, while the M25 is queuing from junction 5 back to junction 4 clockwise.
Recovery is on the scene, but the road is likely to be closed for some time during peak hours as Highways England carries out work to recover the vehicle, repair damaged safety barriers and carry out any emergency repairs needed to ensure the roads is safe to open.
A local diversion route is in place on the M25 clockwise, with drivers being diverted via the A25, to re-join at J26.
Police said there were no serious injuries from the crash.
