A town centre pub will finally open its rooftop venue tonight.
The Brenchley, in High Street, Maidstone, have kept detailed plans about the first floor terrace with a bar and seating under wraps for some time.
But tonight, the public will get their first glimpse inside from 7pm.
There will be a 'happy hour' at the bar between 7pm and 9pm, after which music from DJ Mogsy will play until closing time.
Opening hours will be from 7pm until 2am every Friday and Saturday night.
The launch of Harry's Bar has been a long-term ambition of The Brenchley's management, since opening their doors in November 2013.
Ade Rowswell, a senior manager at the pub said: "Ever since we took over the building, we saw potential on this floor for something new and something different."
The bar's musical playlist will be themed around funky soul and R&B music from the 1970s to the present day.
"Funky music generates a party vibe. A lot of chart music is hit or miss, some people love it or hate it.
"It's also the owners' and the management's favourite type of music, as we come from a background in nightclubs in the 80s, so it's harking back to those days."
"It's going to be a really welcoming and friendly environment that will suit any age group, so no one will feel out of place."
The Grade II listed building was built in 1927, and was previously used as a branch of NatWest bank.
