A car and a van collided on a busy town centre route.

The vehicles crashed on Royal Engineers Road, Maidstone, at about 8.30am today.

South East Coast Ambulance Service attended but both drivers escaped without any serious injuries.

Officers from Kent Police managed traffic flow until both vehicles were moved off the carriageway at about 9.30am.

Two ambulances attended and treated one adult and a 15-year-old girl for neck pain and suspected neck injuries.
They were taken to Medway Maritime Hospital.
