Rush-hour commuters faced long delays due to roadworks.

There was queueing traffic on Well Road heading east-bound at Wheeler Street, Maidstone.

Motorists in the area were facing congestion to the Esso garage in Royal Engineers Road.

Travel time was around 30 minutes due to a partial closure on Wheeler Street.

At 6.30pm it was reported that traffic had cleared.
