Maidstone United finally earned their first win of the season in the Ryman League Premier Division with a 1-0 success at Kingstonian on Saturday.
Ant Bodle (pictured) scored the crucial goal with the first clear opportunity of the match after 16 minutes, bursting through the Ks defence before slipping a left-foot shot past keeper Rob Tolfrey.
Ks were on control after the break but were unable to break down a determined Stones defence in which Peter Hawkins was outstanding.
Margate made it three wins in a row with a 1-0 victory over Wealdstone at Hartsdown.
James Pinnock's 69th-minute close range strike proved decisive but Margate had wasted several chances before that, including a first-half penalty miss by Ishmail Kamara after Darren Marsden was tripped in the area.
Two superb late saves by keeper Lee Worgan ensured that Tonbridge Angels were able to come away from Concord Rangers with a 2-1 victory.
Lee Browning and Frannie Collin put Angels 2-0 up either side of half-time, but Harry Elmes headed home for Rangers 11 minutes from time and then Worgan came to Angels' rescue.
The basement battle between Horsham and Folkestone Invicta finished goalless, as did the grim stalemate between Cray Wanderers and Canvey Island at Hayes Lane.
