The team behind a ground-breaking skin imaging and skin cancer treatment scanner have moved to a new base in Maidstone.
Michelson Diagnostics worked with Locate in Kent to find the new site at Eclipse Park, near Junction 7 of the M20, after outgrowing its premises in Orpington.
The company works with VivoSight scanners to develop non-invasive skin imaging and early-diagnosis skin cancer treatments for use in clinical research and hospitals.
Jon Holmes, chief technology officer, said: “Our new location in Maidstone Eclipse Park is perfect as a base for the company’s management, operational infrastructure, R&D and engineering hub, as we continue to expand the global sales and clinical applications of our VivoSight scanner.
“We are very pleased with the new premises and working environment that Locate in Kent helped us find.”
The firm also specialises in the clinical application of Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) technology, which uses an advanced laser scanner to see into tissue with an unprecedented image resolution and quality of image.
Paul Wookey, chief executive of Locate in Kent, added: “The brief for the new headquarters was quite precise.
"Eclipse Park offered everything Michelson Diagnostics needed, and importantly also put the recently opened Kent Institute of Medicine & Surgery (KIMS) and proposed Maidstone Medical Campus within walking distance.”
