A school trust in Maidstone has announced a new chief executive will take over when classes return in September.
Isabelle Linney-Drouet, the current Headteacher of Cornwallis Academy, as been appointed for the position at Future Schools Trust (FTS) which runs four sites across the county town.
Mrs Linney-Drouet, started teaching 26 years ago and has been with FST since September 2015.
The 49-year-old will continue her position as headteacher at the school on Hubbard's Lane but with Mrs McMahon, newly appointed Head of School, overseeing the day-to-day running.
Marilyn Hodges, chair of trust, said: “I am sure that you will welcome this news and join me in congratulating Isabelle on this achievement. I am pleased she will be able to continue to work with you all to ensure the Trust gets even better.”
Isabelle Linney-Drouet said" “I would like to thank all students, staff and parents at Cornwallis Academy with whom I have worked closely for the last four years. I am delighted to take on the role of CEO and am excited about what lies ahead for the future of the Trust.
"FST has a genuine desire to create a community of excellence which permeates everything we do. We are passionate in our belief that schools are stronger when they work together whilst being proud and protective of the unique identity of each of our schools in the Trust.

The trust oversees Cornwallis Academy, New Line Learning Academy, Tiger Cubs Day Nursery and Tiger Primary School.
The previous CEO, Joshua Coleman left in January 2018 after two years.
