A heavily pregnant horse has been captured after being spotted running amok in unlit country lanes.

Police captured the runaway mare last night (April 3) at around 9pm in Ewell Lane, West Farleigh, near Maidstone.

Officers took the horse to safety and have now launched an appeal to find the owner.
