Members of the Kent Search and Rescue Water Team were out on the River Medway in Maidstone again this morning (Saturday) continuing the search for any trace of Pat Lamb, who went missing from the town in the early hours of December 13.

They used a rigid inflatable boat (RIB) to search from the water, while land-based teams searched the river banks between Allington and Maidstone Bridge in the town centre.

The teams were briefed for the search by Kent Police Tactical Operations officers at Allington Lock at 10am before commencing the search.

A spokesman said the searchers would be looking in the undergrowth and at any points of egress from the river in the hope of finding any articles or items of clothing belonging to Mr Lamb that might give any clue as to a possible route he may have taken.

The river has already been searched three times and friends and relatives of Mr Lamb have carried out numerous searches of their own throughout the town, but there has been no sign of the 28-year-old broadcast engineer from Greenhithe since he was last caught on CCTV at 12.20am on Fairmeadow near the river bank.

Mr Lamb had been visiting bars in Maidstone with friends the previous evening and is known to have stumbled and hit his head at one point.

He is described as 5ft 7in and was dressed in a black Superdry T-shirt and coat when he went missing.
