Police closed an A-road in both directions for much of the day following a serious crash on a viaduct.

Officers cordoned off the A229 Linton Road in Loose, Maidstone, after first being called just after 5am.

Police, fire and ambulance crews have all attended. The road between Old Loose Hill to Rosemount Close was reopened by 3pm.

A police spokesperson said: “Officers attended a serious collision in the Maidstone area.

“Police were called at 5am to the incident in Linton Road, Loose.”
