Firefighters have battled a garden fire this morning.

The cause of the fire in a shed in Penenden Heath is not yet known.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called at 7.08am to the Sandling Lane property.

Crews used hose reel jets to tackle the fire that damaged around 10 metres of fencing, a wooden shed, and conifer trees.

The fire was extinguished just before 8am. Nobody is said to have been hurt in the blaze.
